A description of the horse:  This is a true red roan with no white markings. She has at least 4 WGCs in her pedigree and most of her bottom side is roan.  We believe she will throw roan when bred.  She has Southern Playboy, Southern Sunrise, Southern Jazz, Missouri’s Cassey Jones, Danney Joe W, Zane Gray and more on her peds.  JJ (barn name) uses her body well and has a free, smooth moving style in the pasture.  She is a finer boned horse and we recommend, if bred, it be to a horse with more leg bone.  Has been handled extensively, stands tied, been saddled and lunged in saddle with no buck, farriers well, loads, UTD on all shots and wormed every 90 days; zero health problems since we’ve had her and her purchased her as a weanling.  The potential on this brown papered mare is endless.  14.2 hands at 3; we believe she will finish close to 15 hands.  Price is firm.  We will start her under saddle in May and, at that time, her price will be adjusted to reflect her additional training.

Sneakers is a very elegant mare.  She is very dark black.  Although, the pictures do not reflect that.  She has had 45 days at the trainer and we have continued to ride her since she came home in December 2007.  She has an extremely smooth gait, which we are continuing to work on.  She will back and sidepass, as well.  She is very intelligent and catches on quickly.  She is ready for the trail and/or the next level of training (show or whatever).  She has a blaze, left rear 3/4 stocking; right rear pastern.

Duchess has had 45 days at professional trainer and we have continued to ride her in the arena and outside when weather permits.  She is very sweet natured and a people loving horse.  We are working on her setting her foxtrot.  She is ready for the trail.  She is 14.3H and should mature to 15H.  Both her parents are gold champagne, so there is a very good chance she is homozygous for champagne.  I do not believe there is a DNA test available at this time.  At the very least, champagne is a dominant gene.  She has a dished, arabian-type head.  She would make a great family horse and/or broodmare if you are looking for your own champagne producer.

Duchess comes from true royal breeding.  As a direct daughter of Duke , the Commander, she carries Danney Joe W and Golden Governor close up.  Her dam was my best broodmare, Zane Grey and Golden Governor bred.  Duchess lives up to her auspicious heritage: smart, willing, tough as nails and stamina to go all day.  She tackles the Colorado high country as though on a Sunday stroll  From the very first hill, she know instinctively how to balance and where to put her feet.  I started Duchess myself, a testament to her forgiving nature as I am not a horse trainer.  I am regretfully looking for a special home where her outstanding qualities can be put to work.  I hate to see a really good one as a part time trail horse.  She will be spending time with a trainer soon and her price will increase according.
